NOTE THIS EVENT IS BY INVITATION ONLY About This workshop introduces new ways of dealing with such fundamental questions as How old is the Universe? How can there be something out of nothing? The core of the workshop is the use of a linear time line to illustrate the amazing growth of complexity along otherwise unimaginable expanses of time. The wide-ranging session brings in elements of particle physics, cosmology, astrophysics, astrochemistry, biology and astrobiology alongside links to art, philosophy, myth and religion. The presenter, Dr. Francisco Diego, is a world-renowned educator based in the UK. He is a professor with the Dept. of Physics and Astronomy at University College London (Observatory), and the Vice President of the Association for Astronomy Education (AAE). Participation will be pre-arranged with local schools.
